Alicia Morris Groos is an experienced legal practitioner who focuses on U.S. trademark and copyright law while managing global intellectual property portfolios. She navigates disputes, offers counsel on trademark selection, prosecution and maintenance as well as copyright registration. She supports clients with regard to licensing and assignment of IP and related issues. She’s proficient in Spanish and brings a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to both her legal practice and community endeavors.

Alicia focuses her practice on U.S. trademark and copyright law and management of domestic and international intellectual property portfolios. Her practice includes trademark, copyright and false advertising enforcement and litigation, domain name disputes, counseling clients on the selection and clearance of trademarks, and trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings in the United States and abroad.

In addition, Alicia assists clients with trademark and copyright prosecution, counseling and transactional matters, including licensing, assignments, coexistence agreements and consents.

Alicia is a native Austinite who has served with a variety of organizations around town over the years, including National Charity League- Treaty Oak Chapter member, grade level advisor, and Austin Dog Rescue liaison; VP Membership of Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) Northwest Hills Chapter, Trojan Belles Booster Club, Trojan Football Booster Club, Board of Directors of Camp Fire Central Texas (2012-2016), and Board of Directors of Open Door Preschool (from 2009-2011). Alicia also has participated in local organizations that provide pro bono legal services to artists, has served as a diversity mentor for University of Texas School of Law students, and has been involved in Doss Elementary, Murchison Middle School, and Anderson High School PTAs.

Outside of the office, Alicia enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading.
